Transformation of a former office building into 25 loft residences with gardens for young people. Home-hunters were involved from the start in the project design and sat around the table with contractors. As a result of the participatory process the residences fulfill the expectations of the new tenants. The project is also highly sustainable: as many materials as possible were re-used in the transformation of the building. Moreover, the residences are extremely energy-efficient. This project has already won an innovation prize and sustainability prize.
The co-operative identity of the services informs every aspect of its work. Children, parents and staff are treated as equal partners in developing the service and engagement with the surrounding community are seen as a crucial role in supporting children and families to reach their full potential.
